Chaperones
It is recommended that each church bring at least one female chaperone for every 7 girls and one male chaperone for every 7 guys. It is the responsibility of each local church to provide adequate supervision. All chaperones must be at least 19 years of age.
Leaders and sponsors are responsible for the behaviour of their youth and should know where they are at all times. Groups should sit together if possible and chaperones should sit with their youth when dispersed through the crowd.
It is vital during any ministry time that YOUR leaders minister to YOUR youth. Also, let us collectively do our best to embrace Biblical patterns of worship, prayer, and seeking Jesus.
Dress Modestly
We ask that all registrants would be considerate and respectful of others by wearing modest clothing at Overflow. Guys should wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and shirts or t-shirts. Girls should wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and a t-shirt (no tube, halter, or other immodest tops). Leaders, please have your group members bring APPROPRIATE clothing. Many varied Christian backgrounds are represented at this event. You will want your group to be a blessing rather than a stumbling block. Let Romans 14:13-19 be a guide.
First Aid
Trained First Aid staff will be on-site to handle minor medical problems.
Sponsors, Exhibitors and Vendors
There will be many organizations represented at Overflow as sponsors, exhibitors and vendors. We encourage you to stop by the booths during the conference. Please note that the only organizations allowed to distribute materials are those operating booths that have been approved by the Overflow office prior to the event. No other material is to be distributed, sold, or posted. If you are interested in hosting a booth and would like information on fees and guidelines, please visit the Exhibitors & Vendors page or call us at 905-637-5566 ext. 206.
Oflo Booth
The Overflow Booth will be the place to visit for event info, lost and found and Overflow merchandise.
Overflow Media
All general session messages will be live streamed and available as a video file download. Professional video cameras and/or recorders are not allowed to be used during general sessions, workshops, or concerts. Please ensure that your group abides by these guidelines.
VOLUNTEERS
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer at Overflow? Volunteers are a vital part of the Overflow weekend and must be at least 19 years of age. Please visit the volunteer page for details, expectations, requirements, and application form.
Savings
Planning can save your group a lot of money. Registering early and taking advantage of the accommodation room blocks that have been reserved will result in money saved. Savings can also be realized by pre-packing and preparing food for your group. Getting creative can save your students hundreds of dollars. Check out some fundraising ideas on the Fundraising page.
Security and Safety
Firearms, weapons (fake or otherwise), alcohol and drugs will not be allowed, at any time at the venue. All offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. During speaking or concert sessions, we ask that you would refrain from disruptive activities. Anyone who is seen exhibiting behaviour dangerous to themselves, or to others, will be removed from the arena area. For obvious reasons, bikes, roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, water balloons, morph suits, masks and related items are not allowed inside the auditorium.
